Commemoration of Water Day 26 March 2014 At the Lycée français Molière last week we held a day to commemorate World Water Day on 22 March. This event is part of Unicef's «Friendly School» programme, and consisted of spreading the word about why water is so important and why it should not be wasted so that it can be available for everyone. CARNIVAL, CARNIVAL 13 March 2014 Last Tuesday, mimes, clowns, meninas, devils and kings conquered the Lycée Molière. This is how we celebrated Carnival together, in style. Our Infant and Primary pupils surprised us again with a big group dance, this time with a theatrical setting, this year's theme for the costumes. Don't miss the photos. Mathematics without borders« competition» 13 March 2014 A maths quiz will be held this week. The students of 3ème (3rd year of ESO) will participate in this international competition created in Alsace twenty years ago, which is based on solving in groups the highest number of maths exercises in French, thus encouraging teamwork and language learning. Last year, 140,000 pupils from 22 different countries took part in the initiative. Read
Interview with Christophe Gallais 13 March 2014 On Sunday 2nd March the headmaster of our school, M. Gallais, was interviewed by El Periódico de Aragón. There he claimed the importance of starting to learn a second language from the age of 3. It is the way to ensure that our pupils end up thinking in two different languages, as well as helping them to avoid acquiring a bad accent and to learn to open their minds. Read
Solidarity book drive 03 March 2014 From 24 February to 7 March, anyone who wishes to do so can leave reading books or textbooks in French or Spanish with the school's APE. This is a collection organised as part of the Civic Education programme, and organised by the students of 5ème (1st ESO).
