Pre-primary

The aim of "l'école maternelle" is to help each child to become independent and to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain the basic knowledge from the age of 6, while respecting the child's pace and rhythm of development.

The maternity school

The "l'école maternelle" programme presents the main areas to be addressed during the three years prior to entry into compulsory education, setting out the objectives and competences to be acquired before entering primary school.

Structure

Learning is structured around the following areas:

Appropriate language.
Acting and speaking with your body.
Discovering writing.
Discovering the world.
Being a student.
Perceiving, feeling, imagining, creating.

Significant objective

The main objective is the acquisition of rich, organised and comprehensible spoken language.

Relations

At "l'école maternelle", the child establishes relationships with other children and adults. He exercises his motor, sensory, emotional, relational and intellectual skills and gradually becomes a student. He discovers the world of writing.
