France and its regions
France is one of the largest countries in Europe. Even bigger if we add its overseas possessions, located as far afield as Oceania.
Regions of France
These territories are made up of 27 regions, 22 of which are on European territory and the remaining 5 are overseas territories.
In this post, we are going to talk about mainland France. We will talk about overseas France in another post.
Metropolitan France is a flat, hilly territory made up of three large river valleys. The Seine, the Loire and the Garonne. It is a fertile land that allows for good agricultural development.
Not all of the country is flat; the Pyrenees in the south and the Alps in the west are large mountain ranges. They are well known for their breathtaking scenery.
And you, which regions have you visited? Do you want to talk about a specific one? Remember that we also share some typical recipes of the country on the blog. Don't forget 👉 follow us on social networks to keep up to date with the latest news about Lycée français Molière Saragossa.
